Apple probably doesn’t need an introduction. The company behind the iPhone has been making tech people love since 1976.
Apple lands on BarkDeals because of one tiny gadget: the AirTag. We cover the second generation model, and a lot of dog owners tuck one into a collar holder as an affordable way to keep track of their pup.
The AirTag taps into Apple’s Find My network, which means hundreds of millions of iPhones out in the world can quietly report your tag’s location. In a town or city, that coverage is honestly hard to beat for the price.
Now the fine print. An AirTag isn’t a GPS collar. It doesn’t track your dog live, and updates only arrive when an iPhone happens to pass nearby. Out on a rural trail, that can mean long gaps. And you’ll need an iPhone yourself, since Android isn’t supported.
For iPhone owners, it’s a great low cost safety net on your dog’s collar. Just don’t ask it to replace a real GPS tracker if your dog is a known runner.
